Государственный герб Республики Дагестан представляет собой круглый геральдический щит белого цвета, в центральной части которого изображен золотой орел. Над ним помещено изображение золотого солнца в виде диска, окаймленного спиральным орнаментом. У основания щита расположены бело-золотого цвета снежные вершины гор, равнина, море и в картуше - рукопожатие, по обеим сторонам которых проходит зеленая геральдическая лента с надписью белыми буквами: "Республика Дагестан". В верхней половине щит обрамлен золотой полосой, в нижней - двумя орнаментальными кантами: слева - синим, справа - красным.[1]

The state coat of arms of the Republic of Dagestan is a round escutcheon, white in color, with a golden eagle depicted in its central part. A depiction of a sun in the form of a disc edged with a spiral ornament is located above it. White-gold snowy mountain peaks, a plain and a sea, and a handshake within a cartouche are located at the foot of the shield. A green heraldic ribbon with an inscription “Республика Дагестан” in white letters passes to both sides of those elements. The shield is edged with a golden stripe in its upper half and with two ornaments in the lower, blue to the left and red to the right.

Государственный флаг Республики Дагестан представляет собой прямоугольное полотнище из трех равновеликих горизонтальных полос: верхней — зеленого, средней — синего и нижней — красного цвета. Отношение ширины флага к его длине 2:3.[2]
