Maddə 1. Ümumi təsvir
1.1. Azərbaycan Respublikasının Dövlət Bayrağı eni bərabər olan üç üfüqi zolaqdan ibarət düzbucaqlı şəklindədir. Yuxarı zolaq mavi rəngdə, orta zolaq qırmızı rəngdə, aşağı zolaq yaşıl rəngdədir. Düzbucaqlının eninin uzunluğuna nisbəti 1:2-dir.
1.2. Qırmızı zolağın ortasında aypara və səkkizguşəli ulduz təsviri vardır. Aypara və ulduz ağ rəngdədir. Ayparanın ucları ondan sağda yerləşən ulduza istiqamətlənmişdir.
Maddə 2. Rəngli və sxematik təsvir
2.1. Azərbaycan Respublikasının Dövlət Bayrağı, ölçüsündən asılı olmayaraq, onun bu Təsvirə əlavə edilən rəngli və sxematik təsvirlərinə uyğun gəlməlidir.
2.2. Azərbaycan Respublikası Dövlət Bayrağının sənaye üsulu ilə hazırlanması və rəngli təsvirinin çapı zamanı onun mavi rənginin “Panton” rənglər kataloqunun Pantone 306C rəng koduna, qırmızı rənginin Pantone Red 032C rəng koduna, yaşıl rənginin Pantone 362C rəng koduna uyğunluğu təmin edilir.

Article 1. General description
1.1. The state flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan has the shape of a rectangle consisting of three horizontal stripes of equal width. The upper stripe is sky blue, the middle red and the lower green. The rectangle's height to length ratio is 1:2.
1.2. In the middle of the red stripe a crescent and an eight-pointed are depicted. The crescent and the star are white. The horns of the crescent are turned to the star located to its right.
Article 2. Depiction schematically and in color
2.1. The state flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan, regardless of its colors, shall follow the color and schematic depictions annexed to this description.
2.2. In manufacturing and printing of a colored depiction of the state flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan industrially, the correspondence of its sky blue color to the Pantone 306C color code, its red color to the Pantone Red 032С color code and its green color to the Pantone 362С color code of the Pantone color catalogue shall be provided.
